Who this is
BK Plumbing, run by Ben Kitchener, is the data controller for the details you give it. You can reach us about your data at info@bkplumbing.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
- When you get in touch — your name, how to reach you, your postcode or address, and what you asked for. We use it to answer you and to give you a price.
- When you become a customer — the address the work is at, a record of what was done and when, the invoices and payments, and any messages between us. We use it to do the work, to bill it, and to keep the books.
- Photographs of the work where you have agreed to them, kept with the record of that job.
We never sell your details, and we do not use them for advertising.
Who sees it
Only BK Plumbing, and the software it runs on: the XYZ app (hosted on Cloudflare) holds the records, and an email service delivers what we send you. Those services process the data on our instructions and nothing else.
How long we keep it
- An enquiry that never becomes work: up to twelve months, then deleted.
- Customers we have done work for: the money records for six years after the last invoice, because HMRC requires it. Everything else can go sooner if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Ask by email or through the contact page and we act within a month. Where the law makes us keep a money record, we keep only that and remove everything else. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. If you sign in to see your own invoices, one cookie keeps you signed in for that; it holds nothing about you but the sign-in itself.
